  • Each practice will follow a similar basic structure:
  • Warm up
  • Introduction to topic
  • Technical content
  • Progression of content to game situations
  • Cool down
  • Feedback on the session and overview

AGES 4 - 10

WEEK 1-12

  • Basic skills work / Individual player development
  • Rules of the game
  • Physical co-ordination
  • Physical co-ordination
  • Emphasis on fun learning

WEEK 13-24

  • Basic skills work / Individual development
  • Introduction to small sided games (4v4, 5v5, 6v6) – non-competitive
  • Emphasis on 1v1 skills on the field

WEEK 25-36

  • Basic skills work / Individual development.
  • Positional play, each player learning each position within a small sided game
  • Introduction to competitive games

AGES 11 -17

WEEK 1-12

  • Basic skills work / Individual player development
  • Rules of the game
  • Physical co-ordination
  • Physical co-ordination
  • Emphasis on fun learning

WEEK 13-24

  • Basic skills work / Individual development
  • Introduction to small sided games (7v7, 8v8, 9v9) – non-competitive
  • Emphasis on 1v1 skills on the field
  • Positional play on the field, introduction to tactics and physical training

WEEK 25-36

  • Basic skills work / Individual development.
  • Work on styles of play on the field, game based learning
  • Introduction to competitive games / tournaments
